One of my other passions is watching classic movies. I have  huge collection of DVDs and I will admit that finding silent films that I have not seen before makes me happier than a shower scene in an Asian drama. One of my favorite silent film is "The Sheik" from 1921 and stars Rudolph Valentino.
For those who don't know, Valentino was the first sex idol in Hollywood. Men wanted to be like him and the women all wanted him-to the point of madness. His fans back then reminds me of some fan girls of Asian Idols now a days. Women would flood the theaters to see him. He always played the bad guy when he first came to Hollywood until he played in "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse"  as young Julio which had the women falling for him & set him up to be the male eye-candy of the 20s and beyond.  When he died suddenly at age 31, his fan flooded the streets. Some even committed suicide upon hearing his death. He is still one of my favorite leading romantic men of silent films. His stare can melt my heart any day.
